This was an amazing trip! We expected an excellent stay based on information that we could get online, reviews etc. But it exceeded our expectations! So quaint, nestled alongside Kootenay Lake in the lovely little town on Kaslo. Super friendly, helpful people. Definitely we will do another trip to Kaslo.

We were on a group friends trip and were looking forward to staying at the Kaslo Hotel. Upon arrival we asked the front desk clerk if there was any must sees, activities or things to do. We were given a cold no, I dont know, I dont live here. We set out to explore and realized by dinner time that everything in town was closed and only the Kaslo Hotel pub was open for carry out. We ordered food and received it over an hour later. Ate it out on our hotel room deck in the dark because the light hulbs were burnt out and there was no use calling the front desk because no one was there working! Come 5am in the wind and rain we even had to help a young man that got locked outside his room because there was no staff on duty. The power went out that next morning due to the storm. There was no staff around, the motel was dark and cold, and nothing in the town was open for food so we packed out bags and left the city. We couldnt check out because there was no one to speak to. I have e mailed the hotel numerous times and called to discuss our experience and at one point I got an e mail that the manager would follow up with me. There has been no communications since and I have tried to follow up. The hotel is beautiful and Kalso is a great place but if you are expecting a warm reception with people that truly show show they have a passion for what they do then this isnt the place to stay.

We really enjoyed our one night stay bat Kaslo Hotel! Our room was spacious. Very comfy beds. Huge deck looking over lake. The pub/restaurant was below us but they closed early so no issues. We also ate at restaurant and food was very good. Staff at front desk and in restaurant were very friendly. We also felt safe with lots of attention to COVID 19 regulations. Staff aren’t wearing masks though. Overall, very enjoyable and we would happily go back!

We stayed at the Kaslo Hotel and Pub on Sept. 5 2020 Group of 6 with 3 rooms.The location is beautiful, the rooms we great, but the staff was nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL! We were unable to eat in the pub (covid) but the ladies in the pub made it incredibly easy and pleasant to enjoy a fantastic meal delivered right to our rooms patio...even jugs of beer. We just cant say enough about John at the front desk. Loved him! so funny, helpful, willing to go above and beyond. Thank you for taking the time to come out and say goodbye and thank you as we were loading up to leave. You were an absolute Gem !!!

The room is attractive but we did not get the expected second floor balcony but found ourselves on the main floor instead. We were left with the impression at the front desk that because we booked with Expedia, we were second class customers. Worst of all, the electrical power shut down at 7 am for 4 hours. No attempt was made to contact us before booking in to warn us of this electrical outage planned by the utility company.

Hotel rooms are very clean, huge, and incredible views. Balconies are a great addition to the rooms. Hotel staff was outstanding, especially the manager, he worked his magic with our room. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay, and fabulous service from all hotel staff! The rooms and views were equally beautiful. We will definatley go back for another stay.

Came in to Kaslo after 6 hours of riding in cold rain. Kerry in the bar was THE BEST! Food came fast , brandies were great after all the cold !

Very large room and balcony! Nice, clean room. Good location.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We enjoy the spacious renovated rooms. The large balcony is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and the view of the lake and mountains. Staff is friendly.

Was such a beautiful place to stay, ideal location and the views of the lake were incredible.

My experience with this hotel was horrible I arrived at aprox 4pm and got settled in my room l had my little dog with me I returned at 830pm The doors close at 8pm so one has to walk through the bar to get to your room That I did not mind l got a phone call to ask if that was my dog who had walked through the bar with me I said yes They said I had to leave

Gorgeous old hotel with so much character and charm. Perfect location in Kaslo with a beautiful view of Kaslo bay. Will be coming back here again for sure!
