We are a family of 4. This hotel is way to small for 4 people. One of the beds was a pull out couch. The bed upstairs was small. The floors were dirty and the stove area. There were bugs all over the pull out bed. Thankfully they were not bed bugs. I think they were termites. It was still gross. However it was 2 nights and we dealt with it. Another down fall was on top of paying $585 for 2 nights they turned around and charged $25 a night for parking. On a positive note the staff were very nice and accommodating. The property if beautiful! Also the location was perfect!

Place was same as 1993 last time I stayed. Charming and oddly aloof. Staff is ok, kind of standoffish, though the young woman checking us in was very nice. Ma Barker was another story, but Key West is weird that way with B&B commanders. Biggest disappointment was loud drunk Boomers at the pool after midnight and that dang security light outside our suite that kept us awake all night. Invest in motion sensor, you can afford it. All in all, a lovely place that needs some charm update.

The Banyan Hotel is a gorgeous historic home that is subdivided into lovely, updated apartments with kitchen, living area, bedroom and private bath. The maximum number of guests per unit seems to be 4 which was the only problem for our family of 6 as we were split across two apartments. However, this was a small matter and was more than made up for by the amazing location of the hotel which is just around the corner from the downtown area and the major tourist attractions. The landscaping of the hotel is gorgeous and the pool is divine. I have fond memories of sleeping with the window open listening to the wind, the merriment downtown and the roosters crowing in the morning! We all loved it!

Beautiful rooms and gardens!! The banyan trees make this property extra special and the court yard area was magical. Great front desk staff that was always accommodating.

It was a great stay! Pricier stay then maybe other places but it was worth it. Across from Truman Annex, Safe area, one block off Duval. two blocks from Warf/ Sunsets. We stayed on the ground level facing street so view was great. Pool side is different. Banyan trees are incredible.

It was amazing. Was not my first time there, but it was for my adult daughter and she was ready to move in! The location is perfect, the ambiance was breathtaking, and the service went above and beyond. From the check in to the check out, it was a perfect three days!

Very helpful and friendly staff. The pools/gardens and house were beautiful! It was a treat to sit out in the rocking chairs on the porch, under amazing tree canopies and relax. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished.The one thing that let us down was the pull-out sofa for the 3rd guest. The mattress and frame of the pull-out sofa were so lumpy (soft and bowed) that the person sleeping on the sofa had to arrange themselves diagonally into a trough-like position to be able to sleep waking up in the mornings with a stiff back. This piece of furniture needs to be replaced or the room should not be offered to accommodate 3 guests.Apart from the sofa-bed, we very much enjoyed or stay at the Banyan! It is located very centrally and everything is within walking distance. We would return to it and recommend it to others!

Every where you go on this place there are stairs and other obstacles to negotiate. Ramps are. non- existing. Theres an 8 inch step into the shower. There are about 10 steps to the registration desk. Not the right place for anyone with mobility issues

Overall very good experience, the place is in excellent location, in the heart of the city, you can walk to many places. The room was clean and overal good. Hotel amenities as well. Would stay here again, if I visited Key west again.

We have stayed here 2 times now--super convenient to Duval and the kitchen is wonderful with 2 young children. Love the Old Key West feel--I would never stay at a commercial feeling hotel while visiting Key West

We already plan to be back next month and next year. So convenient to everything in Key West and such a unique hotel. In fact it is one of the most unique places we have stayed in the United States. It has a real personality.

At arrival they charge $100.- just in case. Trash of the last guests left. TV in livingroom broken. Parking costs extra $25 - the morning after car will be dirty by birds. Aircondition can not be manipulatet by guests - only fan can be turned on or off. lousyest place I have e ver been - and this for that price!!! Unfriendly owner who is distrusting everybody but wants guests to pay in advance - guests there have to trust her. Such a good place allowes such people to go on in such a inredable way.

Went on vacation in the keys and stayed one night down in Key West. I could not say enough good things about this place! Safe, quiet, clean, friendly and affordable!! Great place. Will definitely be staying there again.

Wir hatten ein wunderschönes, neu renoviertes Zimmer (ehr Ferienhaus)- auf jedenfalls sein Geld wert! Tolle Lage, nettes Personal . Abzug gibt es nur für das Ausziehbett für unsere Töchter. Das war extrem unbequem, sie haben jede einzelne Feder gespürt. Das Bett musste auch erst komplett von uns bezogen werden, obwohl 4 Personen angekündigt waren. Ich würde aber ohne die Kids immer wiederkommen!!!

We were very disappointed by this hotel. The ratio quality-price is not acceptable for this hotel for the reasons given below. My children could not sleep due to low quality of mattress. We have got the same feeling with the 2 nights in our beds. Moreover how can you explain it is not possible to raise the blinds and you stay with the light all day in summer. At last the parking was expensive and it was not possible to park the car in the hotel. We should park the car far from the hotel for the same price.

All stuffs were very kind and have a lot of knowledge about this area.It was very nice stay.

Wir hatten zu Viert eine Appartement im 3. Stock. Küchenzeile, Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer und Bad waren sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Trotz zentraler Lage hatte der Garten-/Poolbereich eine gemütliche abgeschirmten Atmosphäre. Parken ist nur gegen Gebühr möglich.

Service was great because there was a mess up on their part but they fixed it and we were very satisfied with the fix!
