The staff were very nice and overall our stay was fine. The desk in the room had someone’s used chapstick and there was marijuana all over the desk which implied to us they didn’t clean the room very well. However the beds were cleaned and when we had an issue with the heater they sent someone very quick.

Positive: It was reassuring that the hotel had in place ¿COVID¿ procedures for guests to follow. The entrance into the hotel was secure, extra signage at the elevator to limit occupants, sanitizing wipes in the room, etc. Negative: Due to COVID, the pool, gym, restaurant, etc were all closed. Parking arrangements with a nearby garage would be beneficial like a discounted rate. I would return IF parking wasn¿t so expensive $115. was a disappointment.

First time stay. Recommended by a friend. Clean modern and comfy. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location for my visit. Still covid, but wish gym and jacuzzi were open.

Quick road trip to Chicago with the kids. Hotel was conveniently located. Parking was a bit of a walk for us, but once we got there, we just walked/Ubered everywhere we went. The hotel and room was very clean and updated. The staff we did encounter were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

Positive: Nothing. Worst experience of my life. Negative: Yes. All of it. I was rudely greeted. I was given no answer when asked how much I¿d be charged for incidentals. Then to really top it off...we were never made aware of the 2 guest per room rule AND there were bugs (gnats to be exact) EVERYWHERE

Spent only one night, I was on a quick trip to Chicago by myself, unfortunately breakfast was not included but the hotel is very nice, clean and great location. Perfect for what I needed!

Negative: On-site parking would have been a dream, but there were numerous reasonably-priced self-parking garages within two blocks.

Service was great! Only thing was that the thermostat was out so we had to call everytime to turn it on or off. But it was relatively quick! Asked for additional towels and toilet paper and it was brought quickly! Would definitely stay here again

Staff lovely The manager Egor could not have been any nicer or the front desk worker, Kirtiss. Exceptional service and hospitality especially during these trying times of the pandemic. Would certainly stay here again!

Staff was wonderful. Hotel was clean but needs updates. Elevator carpet coming apart. The view was horrible. I wish we could have looked at something besides the roof air conditioner, especially since the capacity of the hotel is limited. But peice and staff make up for it. They gave excellent service and the price was the best

The hotel was a perfect size for my two sisters and I. We spent one night, and the check in one was easy. This hotel sits a perfect distance from Michigan Avenue and the riverwalk. There are tons are nearby parking garages.

Positive: The temperature was too low 4d cold weather in downtown Chicago. We had to use 8 layers of bedding The hotel staff stated the tempature was not in their control. 7 degrees out side & 75 degrees in the room.

Clean and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the pool, hot tub and fitness center were closed due to covid.

Was a good place to stay. The area was ok; just alittle sketchy but not the hotel fault. I just wouldnt be out alone at night. If walking to the hotel, it was a little difficult to find at 1st. But I called and the hotel staff was able to direct me fine.Overall it was an ok place to stay.

The property is right in the middle of everything, plenty of access to parking, food, bars, shopping, and walking about. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room and shower were clean along with all other areas of building. Would definitely come back

Stay for 3 nights Great location walking distance to many restaurants and bars

It was close to magnificent mile. What i didnt like was that the bathroom had hairs all over the floor and on the shower walls.

Positive: This hotel is in a great location especially if you dont mind walking. It was also secure because the hotel limited who was allowed in the lobby by keeping the door locked. The quality of the room for the price at the time was GREAT.

Good place to stay, clean and friendly staff. But it is a little over price taking in count most of the ammenities are close. Pool, spa and more. They should definitly cut off the prices.

The hotel had a great location and a clean comfortable room. Steps to the train station and a ton of bars and restaurants nearby. However, the best part of our stay was the staff. They were phenomenal. Every time we interacted with someone whether it was the front desk clerk, the security guard, the very pleasant doorman/valet or the cleaning staff we were met with smiles, and warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional people. They thought of so many small things, like putting ear plugs in the room (you can hear the occasional siren at night but it didnt bother us) to housekeeping checking in later on after we left our do not disturb sign on the door to see if there was anything at all we needed. The smiling doorman always had a really nice greeting for us and the front desk staff had great recommendations for things to do around Chicago. Kudos to you folks this was a testament to the staff and hiring practices at Marriott.

We stayed several nights at the Chicago River North Courtyard. It was low season and the hotel was not full, but the service provided here was over the top. Received early check-in (8am) and was upgraded to a suite. That doesnt happen often (I am Lifetime Titanium) and was certainly partly due to the hotel occupancy. But the overall friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff was first rate. The manager here clearly cares about service. This does not happen by chance - especially in the U.S. We felt like we were staying in a high-end hotel in Asia. Front desk, bellman, doorman all went out of their way to help us. Bravo to the management and staff of this Courtyard. Well done . . .

The staff was great! Super friendly from the time I pulled in to time I left. The hotel is beautiful and even though there was some construction going on floor 6, you would not have known it, except they told me at check in. I had an issue with getting my door open and instead of making me go back to the original room, they change my room. The fitness center was nice. I felt like the ceiling was really low and it was a little awkward walking through the pool area. But all in all it was nice. The only bad thing I felt was that I did not know you had to pay $69 to park each day. Granted it is valet parking and those guys are awesome! I wish I had seen that on the website, so I could have been more prepared for it. I would certainly go back.

I recently visited Chicago for the first time for a concert at the Chicago Theate. Being that its winter I was looking for somewhere close and a part of the Marriott Brand family of hotels, I made a great choice with the Courtyard on Hubbard street. The location was a winner and the hotel staff were very attentive to all the guest. The check in was smooth and housekeeping was emaculate. Im definitely going back to Chicago and this will be my hotel choice.

Positive: The fact that is was downtown with clean rooms and friendly staff. Negative: The expense parking. The hotel had no parking garage.

This hotel has an outstanding River North location close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment.......including right across the street. The front room staff and door attendants are outstanding and helpful. Tabitha at the front desk does outstanding work for the site. The only feedback I would give for the site would be to get the third elevator fixed in the lobby. It has been out for a few weeks and is becoming a bit of an issue.

I loved the Courtyard by Marriot hotel. The rooms are super cute and the staff is amazing, the only thing was that the pool water quality was just not right. I got in and quickly got out. It just felt nasty to me but other than that I really enjoyed my stay there.

Great hotel for long stays and located in a convenient area to many restaurants and shopping. The fitness center is one of the better facilities that Ive been to and the laundry room was well used. Free printing! What more can you ask for from a business center? There are many hotels around but this one ranks higher than most of them.

The hotel was well located in the heart of Chicago. It had excellent service and staff. The hotel was clean and fairly comfortable. It had a fitness room which included a swimming pool and spa. It had a laundry which had washing machines and dryers, these needed a credit card to pay for the usage and also coins to pay for the washing powder and fabric conditioner. These were useful as it saved taking dirty clothes home. The staff would hail taxis for you at a moments notice. The only issue I had with the hotel was the restaurant did not open early enough for the early morning lectures at RSNA.

In the heart of river north so good access to restaurants. Hotel is drab. Rooms and hallways desperately need a facelift. Bed is ok. Sheets are not the best and comforter is non existent. AC/heat unit is so loud and old. Windows do not block the sound of Chicago traffic at night so can be hard to sleep. (Even on high floors, I was on the 9th). I stay here due to proximity to my office but it is not my favorite. I have stayed at multiple other courtyards that are exceedingly better maintained than this one. Staff is always extremely friendly. This is not a criticism of the employees. They are on the whole always lovely.

Decided to make a last minute trip to Chicago. Found a great rate at the Courtyard on the northside of the river. The staff is over the top friendly and accomodating. The rooms were up to date. The gym is huge with 2 pools. The location is very walkable from the Blue Line and walkable to everywhere else including the Mag Mile and shoreline.

My stay went extremely well. The service was awesome with welcoming and friendly staff. They took the time to get to know me and made sure I knew about the bus system for the Trade Show I was attending. Staff offered me complimentary water bottles for my room at check in and opened doors for me at all times. Would definitely recommend this hotel based on the awesome staff and environment!

The hotel staff is amazing! The rooms are clean and comfortable. I am a tea drinker and the one cup machine in the room makes great hot water straight into your cup so it minimizes the coffee taste. There is a fridge for milk and two 7-11s on the same block that sell milk. The only challenge is the street noise, especially on a Friday and Saturday night. Other nights its not too bad, but if staying over the weekend, bring ear plugs.

Travelling alone with small children is never easy, but this hotel made us feel welcome. From the moment we pulled up to the valet parking to the time we checked out, everyone was above and beyond accommodating. The room was clean and the pool area is perfect. All of the staff were attentive and patient. Will definitely stay here on future trips to Chicago.

The staff at this hotel and its restaurant provide excellent service. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the property is clean, well-kept and comfortable. From the water bottle filling station in the lobby to the huge workout room, it has everything for a top-notch stay. The restaurant, Bills Bar & Burger, was also terrific -- great breakfast at a reasonable price and a nice happy hour. The hotel also is close to many lines of public transit, shopping, dining, nightlife and local attractions. Its easy to get from here to just about anything you want to see or do.

I was charged double for valet parking and an extra 46.97 to my account without my knowledge. I wasn’t send an email, phone call , nor Notified any way. I only discovered the extra chargers till I was back in my own state. I called the hotel to Solve this issue but no response from anyone. Very unhappy due to this matter. But the hotel aside from this was good.

I stayed for two nights visiting family in the area. I appreciated the low profile bed and the accessible bathroom and the automatic blinds. The only drawback (add its a big one) is that the door to the room was supposed to open automatically but it did not. Without the assistance of family members i would have had a difficult time getting into the room. Accessing the pool area is also difficult as there are a few tight corners.
