It’s very centre-located. The hotel is historic and beautiful. The only drawback is there is no heater in the bathroom so it’s a bit cold in there.

Loved just about everything about this hotel; it was beautiful, the staff was welcoming, the location was perfect, etc.Only issue is that there was not enough hot water for 2 people to take showers. The hot water heater had enough for about 5-6 minutes of shower time. I know its not the easiest location to have a giant hot water heater, but when its -10c outside, a hot shower would be nice.

We had a wonderful stay at Jingshan Garden Hotel during our trip. Lu Lu and her team were just absolutely fantastic, kind, helpful and so generous with their time and the lovely details we received during our stay, specially the flowers because of the trip being our honeymoon.The hotel is located very centrally, right in the center of Beijing, some 15 mins walk from the back entrance of the Forbidden City, 5 mins away from Jingshan Park and in the middle of a Hutong, which adds so much flavour to the stay.The room we stayed in was large, modern, comfortable and spotless. Also, the patio is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the afternoon.All in all, wonderful stay and highly recommended.

Very nice people working in hotel and restaurant. Poor water flow from shower and inadequate hot water. Toilet clogged repeatedly, so need better maintenance. Bed was very comfortable and the courtyard and rooms had real “period” charm. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

Exceptional hotel, providing quiet accommodation during the busiest season (Golden week) and wonderful food. The hotel has a very communal feel and the surrounding Hutongs are extremely quaint and peaceful. A great place to go to experience daily Hutong living, with attentive service given by all staff, especially Lulu, the manager. Lulu provides personalised hospitality, endless energy and takes the time to know each guest who stays. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We loved staying in the Jingshan Garden Hotel!! The hotel itself is a great location in the city- perfect for sightseeing. It is handy to the Art Museum, the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park and much more. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet hutong, so it is very peaceful and relaxing. The staff is friendly and very helpful from booking a car to and from the airport, to securing tickets for us. They even saw that it was our sisters birthday during our stay and they gave her a cake! I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there again.

This hotel was AMAZING. Our flight arrived at 9am and we got to the hotel around 10. We were able to check in shortly after which was a great relief. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was amazing as well. I love that the hotel is in a hutong and very traditional. I do wish there were some things a bit closer. It was a bit deceiving to walk 20 minutes to the entrance of forbidden city.

The staff speak a bit of English:) , very kind and helpful when you ask questions to them. The hotel is in the Hutong area, Metro is 15 mins on foot but it is through the Hutong so the walk is quite nice otherwise you have the option to take the bus which is 5 mins from the hotel and brings you to the main attractions directly ( Wangfujing street, zoo, forbidden city) . The hotel staff pay attention to details and every day we got a surprise in our room , fruit basket , candies ( it was Halloween) . We didn’t have the chance to try the restaurant through. The room was quiet, clean, enough hot water for 3 people with a good pressure :) , bed a bit soft for us but still ok . Toiletries , bathrobe , slippers, hair dryer ( oh yeah maybe this is a negative point , the airflow is not enough strong it took me more than 30 mins to dry my hair whereas with a good hairdryer it takes me 10 mins) otherwise everything you need is there. They provide free water bottles as well. Very good experience for us we will probably go back if we go to Beijing again !

One of our best decisions in our last trip to Beijing was to stay at Jingshan Garden, the hotel is beautiful, the people at the front desk was really helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect since it is in the very heart of downtown Beijing, in a safe area (altough it doesnt seem like that at first sight since its in a Huton), and 10 min walking from a metro station. Breakfast is also very convenient and delicious! I would stay here again without a doubt.

四合院を改築した胡同の真ん中にある北京ならではの美しいプチホテルです。部屋数が少ないのでアットホームな雰囲気で夜は静かに過ごせます。朝食は香山公園はほぼ隣接、南锣鼓巷も徒歩圏内でいずれも散策には最適です。難点はバス通り（景山東街）からホテルのエントランスまで狭隘な道のためタクシーのアクセスは困難。タクシーで来る場合は景山東街の三眼井胡同入口と言えばほぼホテルの入り口に最も近いところで降ろしてくれます。スタッフは親切でフレンドリー。毎朝やさしい挨拶で気持ち良い朝を迎えることが出来ました。チェックアウト後に空港までのタクシーを呼んで頂き、スタッフが三眼井胡同入口まで送って頂きました。年老いた両親を連れて訪れた初めての中国旅行は良い想い出となりました。ありがとうございました。

The hotel style and condition is nice and well preserved in a traditional Hutong. The location is good in walking distance of the Forbidden City, although the closest metro station is around 15 minutes away.The service is good and polite and they try to communicate in English and give you some support in your travel.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel mit persönlichem Charakter. Die Lage in einem originalen Hutong in der Nähe der Verbotenen Stadt ist ausgesprochen gut. Das Frühstück und das Restaurant sind sehr zu empfehlen und der Innenhof lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der Service ist sehr gut und es werden Ausflüge bspw. zur Mauer angeboten.

Jingshan Garden Hotel is a small, clean, peaceful and nicely furnished hotel in a Hutong near Jingshan park. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was good. We would stay here again. If you are looking to stay in a Hutong area rather than a big modern hotel then this is the place to book.

Authentic Hutong courtyard accommodation in a central location. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and provided a great pack of information about the local area on arrival.

We liked everything here except the water heater. The room was really nice and clean; Staff were friendly and helpful; The hotel has a good location, close to Jinshan Park and The Forbidden City; Had to wait for at least 2 hrs for the water to heated before showering and next person had to wait another 2 hrs to take a shower, so we’d suggest to carefully schedule showerings. Overall, nice place to stay in Beijing!

Location looked good, But NOT close to anything. Subway station is not a 20 minute walk, more like 30 minutes. They should have a small transport at hotel. Room is just OK. Beware of the breakfast. Cost is high for a half star breakfast and not included in your room package. Service SLOW. Hotel is really much more expensive than the 5 star chain hotel. Manager very helpful, but the other staff speak little english.

This was my first time in Beijing and a work colleague recommended this hotel. I did some research before and found out the hotel went through some renovations, so everything was supposed to be new. And indeed the rooms and the facilities were all new! The staff were friendy, the restaurant served traditional chinese food, as well as western food. The room was very cozy. Also, the hotel is located really close to the forbidden city and jingshan park. Had a great experience there, will recommend this hotel for sure.

Nice hotel that is not the usual chain kind. Service from staff was great and they were very helpful from giving recommendations to assisting to book tickets and car service.

Its a hotel which is located in the heart of Beijing. I was dreamed to stay in Siheyuan hotel which is very Beijing style architecture. And Jingshan Garden hotel is exactly what I want.I found its a refurnished hotel and re-opened recently. Rooms are comfortable and facilities quite new. Staff are very nice for the tips visiting around Beijing. BTW, I like the lunch in the outdoor area of Temple restaurant, very cozy.

This property was a definite diamond that we booked for our 30 day Asia trip. It is in the heart of a historical area in Beijing and in a prime location. We wanted to experience the culture in the city and that is why we chose this hotel. It was exactly what we wanted! Attractions are walkable from the hotel and the customer service was amazing!

Really nice surprise! Perfect combination of flavor of Chinese style and western comfortableness. Highly recommended. Could be hard to get a taxi in and out, but still worth it!

I have stayed already 5 times in this hotel because I like atmosphere and it is very good located. Its just a bit dissapointing, that the staff cannot really communicate in English. And they have doubled their price, since they are mentioned in the lonley planet.But overall, still recommended
