The number of floors was not mentioned in the booking details and nothing was mentioned before choosing the room. We had 6 heavy suitcases and our room was at 3rd floor!! (the actual floor was more that that!) no elevator.

Room Cleanliness and comfort could not be faulted it was the check in was not great for me. I arrived 13.45 hoping to be able to check in a little early and just drop my bags (check in stated at 14.00) but nobody was around, the door locked and nobody answering the bell. I returned 15.15 to check in. The lock was still locked with a sign saying back in 10 minutes when the 10 minutes started who knows! Waited outside for 5-8 minutes then let in by other guests leaving. Waited inside the reception area for another 5 minutes or so before the receptionist returned. No impressed with the wait to book in or the fact we could enter the building and have access to an unattended reception area.

The check in were quick and easy but the room was very basic the bed were like sleeping on a rock and the shower was basically right over the toliet!Also i couldnt sleep as i could hear everything outside banging above us all night just not worth the price!I know its only a 2 star hotel but for £260 for one night is ridiculous!! I wouldnt stay here again...

The hotel was in a good location. The staff were friendly and helpful especially at reception. The room was warm and contained everything we needed Breakfast was a little basic.

This was our 2nd visit and we wasn’t disappointed. Clean spacious and very friendly accommodating staff.excellent location would definitely recommend and return.

Staffs are friendly, and have daily housekeeping service. A no disturb sign should be provided as some guests prefer their room inaccessible by the staff when they are away.

The Carlton Hotel, was located in an attractive, fashionable street. Close to restaurants, shops, public houses & is a 15 walk to Victoria train, bus & coach stations.

Das Hotel hat für Londoner Verhältnisse ein zufriedenstellendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und eine wirklich günstige Lage (4min zur U-Bahn Pimlico, 8 bis Victoria).Die Einrichtung ist schlicht, die Teppiche haben schon bessere Tage gesehen und die Nasszellen sind sicher nicht hochklassig - 2 Sterne eben. Im Grunde aber ok und hygienisch einwandfrei. Derzeit (04.2012) wurden gerade im Hotel offenbar einige Zimmer renoviert. Der Frühstücksraum ist im Keller und etas klein, das Continental Breakfast mit Toast, Butter, Conflakes und Instantkaffee aber auch ok.Theoretisch hat man WLAN auf dem Zimmer (pauschal 5 Pfund extra), bei uns hat es aber nicht funktioniert. 1 PC mit Internet steht im Erdgeschoss.Das Personal war routiniert freundlich, wenn auch nicht übertrieben serviceorientiert.Insgesamt: Für den schmalen Geldbeutel als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit zu empfehlen, für ein gemütliches Pärchenwochenende besser eine Komfortklasse höher anpeilen.

Ein wirklich auf das Nötigste reduziertes Zimmer. Aber sauber und in der Preisklasse wohl vollkommen in Ordnung!Das Bad entspricht eher einer Nasszelle, wie man sie von Schiffen kennt. Aber ebenfalls sauber.Roomservice jeden Tag mit frischen Handtüchern hatten wir eigentlich nicht erwartet, daher eine angenehme Überraschung!Frühstücksraum sehr einfach, ebenso das Frühstück.Insgesamt für einen Sigtseeing-Trip aufgrund der super zentralen Lage absolut empfehlenswert!

The view from our room at the top of the building was brilliant the walk to the top was a killer. But we got used to it ,the local shops are close and the station is a short ten minute walk away. Value for money no complaints.

The hotel is in a typical older-style building. And there is not lift... BUT...The staff and investors work hard within those limitations to give you a GOOD STAY. Pleasant, friendly staff... and room spotless, nice SHEETS (not the more common duvet) Could Open My Window!! Bathroom recently re-decorated with good fixtures and fittings, attractive, more than bog standard marble.Bed very, very comfortable. Memory foam?? Whatever it was, it was good... and I dont usually sleep well at home, let alone in a hotel.Pimlco tube station just around the corner. Busses to and from Victoria out front, and a wider selection one street over.Convenient for the fantastic musical Billy Elliot, and Victoria mainline station. Also near Thames.

Le personnel très agréable, site bien placé belle façade. La chambre assez petite pour quatre.Rien à dire sur la propreté. Literie limite... Très déçu par le petit déjeuner, peu de choix,peu de place etc....

Super Lage, aber äusserst minimalistisches Interieur und verschimmelter Duschschlauch und Duschvorhang. Keine Duschtasse, wenn man geduscht hat, war das ganze Bad unter Wasser. Dazu das schlechteste Frühstück, das wir je bekommen haben. Super minimalistisch, am Vormittag des Vortages aufgetischt (Butter war flüssig und ranzig), wird nur während 1 Stunde angeboten, dabei reicht das Platzangebot niemals für das ganze Hotel. Also Essen auf der Treppe ist angesagt. Mehr habe ich dazu nicht zu sagen...!!!

Very small room, which was shabby & unwelcoming. Only room for one seat, tucked under table. Bathroom not cleaned during two night stay. Breakfast was appalling, cheap bread and cereal, that was pretty much the only choice. Served in a transport cafe style environment with dirty shoes & socks drying on radiator (for both days), too small & cramped for number of guests.

The night staff was amazing and helpful but the day staff lady was not at all helpful :/ Good value for the price and location for sure!

Quite disappointed but for a budget hotel you could not expect too much. No secured luggage storage. Breakfast time is just one hour. No lift. Bathroom is too small, I mean tiny.

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich perfekt!! Das hätten wir echt nicht gedacht wir haben fast alles zu Fuß erreicht... Und wenn wir nicht laufen wollten war die ubahn oder der Bus vom Hotels aus keine 5min zu erreichen. Und die Mitarbeiter sind auch sehr freundlich also sehr empfehlenswert :)

Wir waren 4 Tage in London und haben nahezu alle bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten von London angesehen. Wir haben dabei von der Lage des Hotels profitiert und fast alles zu Fuß erreicht. Wir waren den ganzen Tag unterwegs und haben das Hotel nur zum Schlafen und Frühstücken genutzt. Die Angaben zum Hotel sind alle zutreffend. Man wird beim Check-In auch nochmal über das Frühstück belehrt und es gibt auch wirklich nur ein kontinentales Frühstück (Toast, Marmelade, Butter, Cornflakes, Kaffee, Tee, O-Saft). Der Service war dabei etwas daneben. Es dauert teilweise erheblich lange bis die Tische wieder für neue Gäste benutzbar waren. Dies schien aber personalabhängig zu sein. Am ersten Morgen war alles top, die weiteren Tage hat eine andere Person Dienst und es kam zu den genannten Problemen.Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, aber völlig ausreichend für einen Kurztrip. Es gibt gegen eine feste Gebühr WiFi.

Für London und den Preis war das Zimmer o.k.: Für 37 Pfund hatte ich ca. 8qm mit Fenster zum ruhigen Hinterhof, eigenes Duschbad, TV, Fön, Heizung und den obligatorischen Wasserkocher sowie Frühstück. Insgesamt alles sehr, sehr einfach und alt, aber sauber. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr hellhörig, nichts für Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf... Empfehlung für Menschen, die wirklich nur für ein paar Stunden Schlaf ins Hotel kommen und ansonsten in der Stadt unterwegs sein wollen.
