Awesome little hotel with fantastic staff. Unbeatable value with breakfast only and additional 4 pounds. Location is ideal, 5 min to tube station, lots of little restaurants close by, Tesco across the street.

I needed a budget hotel in a fairly upmarket location and the Star Hotel fitted the bill perfectly. The owner and his staff were very friendly. Although it was hot and I had to keep the window open, there was a fan which was quiet, with a faint buzz that masked the traffic noise, so I slept ok. The continental breakfast was very nice and excellent value. Downsides were the pokey toilet/showerroom and the traffic noise, but this didnt really bother me and you cant expect everything for the price I paid. I would definitely stay there again in similar circumstances.

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel for a few nights in London, not too far from the Centre. The Star Hotel was perfect. The staff are friendly and efficient, the breakfast (cost £4) quite excellent, and my room was clean, well appointed and pleasant. This hotel is really good value for money. There are a few decent cafes and restaurants nearby and some shops. It was eight minutes easy walk down to Hammersmith Tube Station and from there by tube four stops to the Museums and about eight or nine to Piccadilly, Oxford Street and so on. Next time Im in London, Ill book at the Star again.

Good location. Clean hotel. Very good breakfast for the price (4 pounds!). My only complaint was the Internet -- it periodically cut out, often for a few minutes at a time.

The hotel is charming and spotlessly clean. Plus, it’s only a 10 minute walk to two different Underground stations, which makes it very easy to get around the city. Best of all, the owners are friendly, helpful, and welcoming!

Ayant eu besoin dun point de chute pour régler des affaires à Londres, jai été ravi par la propreté et par le bon lit de ma chambre. Cétait une chambre single, donc forcément pas très grande. Et même si elle donnait sur la rue, jai très bien dormi. La salle de bains était très propre et moderne, cabine de douche bien isolée et avec un jet de douche sympa. De plus, la gentillesse du personnel est très agréable, il est très attentif à ce que tout se passe bien. Le petit déjeuner était très bon, simple, frais et de bonne qualité.

Great place to stay in all respects other than two minor issues1. Shower head fixing broken2. Could have done with a few hooks on the door or wall for somewhere to hang coats etc

We stayed at the Star during a 3 day break to London. It was a very reasonable rate, the service was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was kept very clean. The only slightly negative thing was that the walls were a bit thin so we could hear the person next door bumping around in the morning, but it wasnt a big deal. I would definitely recommend it

I liked the fact that the Star Hotel was within easy reach of the airport - I arrived late at night and left early in the morning a few days after, so location was a plus! My room was situated close to the entrance, so I had an easy in an out. The front desk manager (Luigi?) was very helpful in helping me find the right subway connection for my outing the next day.

Lage des Hotels ist super (10 min. Fußweg zur Underground Hammersmith, Fahrtzeit ca. 15 min zu der Innenstadt). Hotel ist sehr überschaulich, super freundliches Personal, sehr sauber, für Londoner Verhältnisse unglaublich gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis! Frühstück ist in Odnung. Nur zu empfehlen, wir werden definitiv wieder kommen!!!!!

An excellent location very clean and the staff are just perfect

Wir hatten uns hauptsächlich aus dem Grund für das Hotel entschieden, weil es für einen guten Preis Frühstück inklusive hatte und in einem Teil von London liegt wo wir noch nicht waren.Von Zimmer und vor allem Bad waren wir sehr positiv überrascht, da es einen renovierten Eindruck machte. Vor allem das Bad ist sehr Eng (aber für englische Verhältnisse normal) Die Lage ist gut. Supermarkt um die Ecke und Hammersmith Station ca 10 min entfernt.Als Negativ ist allerdings der Lärm zu erwähnen. Piepende Fußgängerampel vorm Hotel und die Straße stark befahren tags und nachts. Ca alle 15 Minuten fährt Polizei / Feuerwehr mit Sirene vorbei. Bei offenem Fenster sehr laut, bei geschlossenem ok. Zweiter Negativpunkt ist die schlechte Wärmeableitung. Wir hatten Kaiserwetter mit 30 Grad und Sonnenschein nur leider kriegt man die Hitze aus dem Zimmer nicht hinaus weshalb wir auch nachts immer das Fenster offen lassen mussten. Daher war es immer laut und schwer zu schlafen.Fazit: In der kühlen Jahreszeit Top, da guter Preis und schöne Zimmer. Bei geschlossenem Fenster Lautstärke erträglich.Wenn es heiß ist muss man selbst entscheiden ob die unruhigen Nächte den Preis wert sind. Für einen Kurzausflug wars ok.

The location is excellent. The owners and staff go out of their way to be helpful. Everything is clean and orderly. The breakfast is well done, something we came to look forward to.

Ich hatte ein Mini-Zimmer zur Straße, was echt laut war. Aber ich würde trotzdem wiederkommen, denn: die Mitarbeiter sind superfreundlich und herzlich, das Zimmer und das gesamte Hotel sind sauber und gepflegt und die Lage ist einfach toll. 5 Minuten bis zur Underground Station und 20 Minuten später kann man am Piccadilly Circus schon wieder aussteigen.

Mir hat alles gut gefallen und werde ganz klar wieder dort buchen. Tolle Verkehrsanbindung, einen Lieblingspub in der Nähe gefunden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, fast familiär.

This hotel is good, even thought its location is kinda far away from the downtown like 30 mins. The staff are kind and their breakfast is gooood

They didnt serv the breakfast and the owner keep saying the check out is made by 10:30am!

Central to getting around west london. Quiet thanks to double glazing. Friendly staff. Abit tight in the washroom.

Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins. Cet hôtel un peu excentré permet de se retrouver et de profiter dun quartier plus calme de Londres. Idéalement situé près de la station Hammersmith, il permet un accès facile et rapide à plusieurs lignes de métro Londoniennes. Nous reviendrons assurément.

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Hotel und waren sehr zufrieden. Kleines Zimmer mit allem Nötigen. Universalstecker für Handyladung war zu unserem Erstaunen ebenfalls vorhanden. Der Service sehr charmant und hilfsbereit. Perfekt für Kurztrips und für Touristen, die die Stadt entdecken und nicht nur im Hotel sind ;)

It was a very Cozy Room, reminded me of Mr Beans Room, it was a small room, but not suffocating, just the right amount of space to relax your wee legs, after a Long Day, and the Breakfast was very good as well.

Bonne expérience, un peu bruyant a cause de linsonorité, nous entendions les gens monter les escaliers et les voitures dehors (proche route passante) mais pas très gênant si vous vous levez tôt. Tres bon accueil et personnel très sympathique, souriant et serviable.Le petit dejeuner est correct
