명동. 남산. 남대문. 동대문. 강남이 가까운 게스트하우스 힐은 서울 중심부에 자리잡은 곳이다. 그래서 외국인들에게 인기가 많은 곳이다.

Great for myeongdong, but in quiet location. Walk is fine, yes up a hill but no bother. Very modern, clean and good facilities. Metro access easy.Not for party animals. All private rooms so not very sociable. Breakfast is just toast and juice.Staff friendly, but rarely around. Single washng machine rarely available.WiFi very good.Walls a bit thin for noise, but normal really.

The owner of the building was so friendly and the location was perfect, close to the subway and a great view of namsan tower. The owners wife was extremely helpful when we needed a taxi. She tried several different companies until she found one for us. Would highly recommend this place. It is such a cute room if you want the whole korean experience.

Great location. Tucked away in Myeongdong, its in a quiet street but the main shopping street is just a 5 minute walk away. The cable car to reach Seoul Tower is also a 5 minute walk away, just going really uphill. Very close to Myeongdong Station, which made it easy to get to from Incheon airport via bus (also reachable via subway from Gimpo airport). The hotel is on a hill but its not yet on the extreme end of the hill so carrying luggage is completely doable. Room itself was okay--it was rather small and very simple but we chose it more for the location and value. The bathroom is one where the shower head is attached to the sink so theres not a real shower and takes some getting used to. The free breakfast was self served bread, jam and butter, and orange juice. We bought our own breakfast at the many convenient stores nearby every morning instead. There is no fridge or kettle within the room, just a communal kitchen downstairs.

I stayed in the guesthouse for 2 (non-consecutive) nights: 1 night in a double room on the top floor and 1 night in a single room on the second floor.The guesthouse is fairly easy to find if you follow the instructions from its website. The closest metro station is Myeongdong. The walk from the metro stop is steep in the last meters and there is no elevator; keep this in mind if you have heavy luggage.I didnt meet the owner on the first day but was welcomed by a nice lady who didnt speak English but was able to explain the basics to me. The owner speaks good English and communication with him was very smooth when I arrived very late at night for my second stay.Both rooms were simple and clean. Maybe some more decoration would be good. The single bed was not as slim as I expected it to be. The bathroom is quite small. Shampoo and shower gel are provided but no big towels. There is free WiFi. A simple breakfast was included. There is a fridge and a kitchen, so you can prepare food.Within close proximity of the guesthouse are Namsan Tower and the Namsangol Hanok Village. I also walked to Namdaemun Market, Deoksugung, Seoul Museum of Art and the City Hall/Seoul Plaza (Ill leave it up to you if it is really walking distance).Overall, it was a hassle-free stay and I recommend it to everyone looking for a simple option.

Amazing place, nice owners, very accommodating. He also called me a cab on my last day and made sure it got me to the right terminal. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is near to Myeongdong Station and it is easy to access to bus stop.

Beim ersten Mal ist das Gasthaus etwas schwer zu finden, aber nicht unmöglich. Mein Zimmer war schlicht aber ziemlich groß (verglichen mit meinen sonstigen Aufenthalten) mit modernem Badezimmer. Man hat freien Zugang zur Küche mit Instant kaffee und toast zum Frühstück, sowie einem Wasserspender. Ich habe selten Jemanden im Gasthaus gesehen, was für mich recht angenehm war, und die Betreiber waren super unkompliziert. Im Eingangsbereich war ein etwas unangenehmer Geruch, hat sich aber nicht ins Zimmer ausgebreitet.

This guest house was convenient and affordable. We appreciated the laundry facilities and the room was functional, though a bit small for two people with luggage. I would stay here again if I come back through Seoul. The only disappointment was the breakfast--it was just a loaf of white bread left on the kitchen counter.

Das Hostel ist gut gelegen (etwa 400m zur U-Bahnhaltestelle Myeong-Dong), neu und hell. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer im dritten Stock mit Blick auf den Seoul Tower. Einzig ein paar Haken für Kleidung und eine Nachttischlampe haben gefehlt. Der Besitzer des Hostels ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und kümmert sich um seine Gäste. An einem Tag hatten andere Gäste das Frühstück aufgegessen und der Besitzer ist extra für uns einkaufen gegangen. Das Frühstück ist einfach (Toast, Marmelade, Butter, Saft, Kaffee, Tee) aber ausreichend und scheint so Standard in koreanischen Hostels zu sein.

Nice place to stay in terms of location which is across from Myeongdong shopping center. The owner is very nice and helpful and you can use all the amenities there. All needed for a good night rest Very close to MyeongDong and the subway. Highly recommended even by fussy people like me.

The room and facilities are clean, the bed is comfortable. The hostel provides simple toast and juice for breakfast. The only drawback is that it is located on a slope, but it is near Myeondong Station (2 minutes walk) and cable car station to Namsan Park Seoul Tower (5 minutes walk). The manager of the hostel is very friendly.

The owner, Mr Kidae was very friendly and helpful. We bought ***y snacks from the nearby myeongdong mini mart and arranged for delivery (the mini mart provide free delivery once you hit certain quota) for the next day. Location are perfect as it is very near from Myeongdong metro station.

What I liked best about Guesthouse The Hill is its great location. Within close proximity of the guesthouse are Namsan Tower and the Namsangol Hanok Village. Most important is VERY clean. Thank you very much Mr. Baek for accommodating our needs and helping us how to get places in South Korea.

The journey leaving the guest house will be more relaxing as we are walking down hill. Hospitality from the owner of guesthouseMr Kidae was good. Good location : few mins walk to Myeongdong and subway station. Very helpful and understanding owner, Mr Baek and indeed a gem at Myeongdong.

Nice clean room, loved having a private bathroom. Disappointed in the breakfast options - one morning a few of the eggs available for cooking were rotten so we gave up on those, the next morning there were no breakfast items left for us at all due to a large group getting there first and eating them all! Also wish there had been more security (front door is never locked and no locked luggage storage option on your last day). But great location!

Guest House the Hill is a highly recommended property. The owner, Kidae was very accommodating and helpful with all our needs during our first time in Seoul. The comfort and location is the best part of the stay. Walking distance from Myeongdong, a shopping haven and accessible to subway station. We will definitely be back again!

I am such a traveller n this is the best ever GuestHouse that I ever stayed. Bus 6015s last stop was at Sejong Hotel which is already a walking distance to to the guesthouse. We were impressed by the service throughout our stay. The kitchen & dining has very good facilities.

I was very pleased with this rental. It was clean and the owner provided us with a laundry machine and breakfast every morning. Location is excellent too!

Nice quiet friendly well run hostel, the owner was friendly and very helpful, plus spoke English well. The only bad thing was excessively loud A/C unit in my room.

The location of the guest house is centrally located in the shopping area, Myeong Dong. Here is where you get to meet and mingle with ***y different people from different countries. From the owners service until the facilities are excellent, superb. Of course next time I visit seoul again I will be stay in here.

The place is very new, well decorated and always kept clean. For family, just need to note that the big room is located at 3rd floor hence have to carry the luggages up fleet of stairs but Mr Baek was there to help and we just take it as exercising. Breakfast is simple.

The owner of the guesthouse was very friendly & the checkin process was easy. Its about a 7-8 mins walk from Myeongdong station Exit 3 :) Nearby the station had several eateries too! Simple breakfast was provided which was very very much appreciated by my friends and I. However, if you have very large luggages, i wouldnt recommend to stay here because theres no elevator in the guesthouse.

This place had reasonable price. Quite clean and comfortable stay. Location was not too bad but walking up the hill was not funny with luggages.

THIS GUEST HOUSE IS CLOSE TO THE TRAIN STATION, AND A BUSY SHOPPING AREA.KIDAE AND HIS EMPLOYER-JUNG WERE HELPFUL IN SUGGESTING PLACES TO VISIT, AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR QUESTIONS. WHEN I ENTERED THE PLACE, THE KITCHEN SINK WAS FULL OF DIRTY DISHES. WHEN ASKED, JUNG SAID THERE WAS A PARTY THE NIGHT BEFORE. SO I CHOSE TO BUY MY OWN MUG. THE CULTURAL PRACTICE OF REMOVING SHOES ON ENTERING A HOME, MADE THE SMALL ENTRANCE UNTIDY, AND NOT PLEASING TO LOOK AT, WITH THE SHOES ON THE STAIRS.THE PRACTICE OF USING SMALL BATH TOWELS, WAS SURPRISING. THEY DID PROVIDE US WITH AS MANY AS NEEDED.A BATHROOM OPENS UP INTO THE KITCHEN, AND MOST OFTEN THE DOOR IS OPENED AND THE TOILET SEAT OPENED. PLEASE TELL HIM TO MAKE A POINT OF KEEPING IT CLOSED. PUT A SIGN ON IT.OVERALL, IT WAS A PLEASANT STAY.

Für einen Kurztrip ok, ansonsten doch lieber eine etwas komfortablere Unterbringung.

Good location near subway. The room was clean and functional. Beds were very hard. Plenty of hot water for shower but towels were size of hand towels.

The hotel is very close to Myeongdong station. The owner is very helpful. The room is small but overall is okay.
