This guesthouse was quite hard to find. Its not exactly in Myeongdong, about 15 minutes walk which isnt far at all. Its cheap and comfortable. You get what you pay for. Simple breakfast, rooms, bathroom, but its all you need really. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place if youre just after a place to sleep. If youre expecting super bright, clean, new rooms and facilities then book elsewhere. Its a comfortable place. Just beware the mozzies!! I got bitten 11 times just in one night!

The lady looking after the guest house opens th office at 11am and closes at 6pm rooms are rectangular with a double bed avery small bathroom and wall are very thin. When we were there a couple of young girls arrived about 2 am took the room next to ours and made a lot of noise waking us even though we wwent and told them to be quiet they carried on for a couple hours. As we left we could not get in touch with the keeper.

Never try to check in just see the other guesthouse better than H2O never comeback again

The room was clean and basic facilities were provided. Although the room was a little bit small, its price was reasonable and the location was prefect. In addition, the owner was helpful.

I booked this guesthouse as it is along a subway line and within close distances to most places of interest. Surprisingly, it is also very close to one of the Airport Express bus-stops. The guesthouse has various types of rooms - single or double, private or shared bathroom, on the third and fourth levels. My private room has a TV and small fridge. Breakfast is simple with toast and coffee/tea. The guesthouse is within an arcade of hardware shops, so clanking sounds could be heard in the morning, but the streets became very quiet at night. The guesthouse is clean and my bed was comfortable. One note of caution, there is no escalator if you carry heavy suitcases.

PRO: The staff was kind and speaks English well. The room has self-controlled heating and heated beds. Free toast and coffee. Shower with hot water. And only 12 dollars per night and 1 bunk bed per room, max 2 people in a room. Conveniently located a 1 minute walk from the underground subway station, right between euljiro 3 and 4 ga so easy access to either station.CON: I went in winter and the hallway/communal bathroom was cold. I was on the 3rd floor but the bathroom was on the 2nd floor, so I had to go down the stairs to use the toilet or shower. Quiet neighborhood with not much to do, but very close by subway to the center of things. Woke up at 8am to the sound of pidgeons outside my window.

No good, my entire body has itches and irritations.. didnt have bed / duvet covers. I think there were a lot of bugs or fleats, my entire body has red spots and eyes are swollen.. not very good.Besides the bed and air condition not working, the hostel was OK, actually partly more clean than expected, toilet also great, but should fix light in shower.

The double room was clean. There were no weird smells. Clean towels were provided in addition to a small electric heater and electric heating mat underneath our bed sheets. However, the water heating machine is pretty much broken. If we got any hot water as all in our private bathroom, it lasted the most for 5 min? Afterwards it was just ice water. We stayed during Christmas weekend so it was already cold outside but to take a shower with the same temperature as the Han river was kind of like torture. Im not staying again just for this reason. Everything else was good though--the guesthouse is close to several stations in walkable distance.

The location of the hostel is not easy to be found as it is located in a alley. But actually the hostel is just next to subway exit.I stayed here in winter and I used shared washroom. The hot water supply for shower only lasted for about 5 minutes! The washroom is not that clean. The heating in room was functioning properly and generally clean. In general, I would say the price really tells you the quality of the hostel.

Reasonable standard, the room that we had was reasonable. The owner is friendly and the location is near to train stations. However when we first searched the place, its hard to identify it as it blends into the shophouses around.

The price of the room was so affordable and was also neat and tidy..the staff was so accommodating and shes good in communicating with the use the english language..i would say that my stay at H20 was quite good except for the portable heater at the room because it was too small and it cannot provide the needed warm for the room

This place deserves a special spot on the worst hostels list. Just awful. Worst hostel Ive ever stayed in. 1) Someone started cleaning and moving things around noisily in the hallway at 4am. Seemed to be someone who worked for the hostel. Noise continued for an hour or so and then finally stopped. Then dawn came and the pigeons nesting outside the windows started in, pecking the window loudly. Then the traffic noise started. Major street is right outside the window. Then a construction crew using jackhammers started next doir. Not a chance for sleep in this place! Limped out exhausted in the morning. 2) Hot water heater is like 2-3 gallons, and the temp is very difficult to adjust to a usable temp. Either too hot or too cold. Hot water lasts maybe 2-3 minutes then it runs cold. Then you have to wait for the water to heat up again, standing wet and shivering in a cold bathroom for 5-10 minutes. Also shower is not even tall enough to reach your head. 3) Hostel is old and smelly. Things are left unrepaired. Sharp screws and nails sticking out randomly. 4) Bedsheets had crusty brown flakes all over them. Floor was uneven and mushy. 5) TV audio didnt work. 6) None of the windows opened. They were probably sealed shut by years of pigeon crap. 7) Despite the problems, I planned to stay for another night as I was so exhausted that I didnt want to move. However, the price suddenly doubled when I went to reserve it.Place is a torture chamber not a hostel.

I really want to like this place because the lady working at the front desk was really nice, but it really was not a good stay. The place is really difficult to find. The rooms are freezing cold. The electric blanket and heater did not help at all. Really dont think I could stay here again.

Its quite good near for everywhere. Its ok for back packer.

Good location and average value for money, generally speaking service is good even if staff does not speak English.

Room was very dirty and not living up to the usual standard. The amenities, towels and blankets are very very dirty and smelly.

Staff very good for takcare me. Kitchen dont have water and soneday dont have bread.

Only one block away from the subway station: old building but clean and very quite at night!!!

Is close to subway station exit, but a little bit hard to get it while we reach the areathe bathroom is totally small

The hotel is tiny and a bit difficult to find and its kind of a dump, but its cheap so its fine if you just need a place to sleep and have a shower.
