Very Spacious and Clean ; the staff is totally incredible One of the best experience i had in Mexico

The grounds of the property are beautiful and well-maintained. The room was dark, but the bathrooms are large and had good amenities. The spa area was not working correctly. The hot tub was cold, the pool was hot, the steam room was not working. The sauna was working though. That was disappointing.

A gorgeous small hotel with superbly maintained gardens and beautiful tiled common areas. Friendly, beyond helpful staff, and a great restaurant. The location is 15 easy minutes walk from the stunning and vibrant town centre of Guanajuato- a relaxing oasis. Highly recommended!!!

El hotel esta muy bien en general. El único problema que tuvimos fue que al hacer el check-in la recepcionista nos mando a una habitación equivocada, de la cual después de 20 minutos llegaron a sacarnos. Para llevarnos a otra, nuestro equipaje ya estando en la habitación correcta tardo 25 minutos en llegar.

Amazing property fantastic service overall great experience

El servicio del personal fue magnífico, limpieza de primera, habitaciones cómodas, limpias y confortables.Lo único que siento es que cierran muy temprano el servicio del restaurante y del Bar.

The photos do not do this breathtaking property justice. So much attention to detail - we were happier here than weve been staying at the Four Seasons! Exceptional food, outstanding service and a magical environment. We enjoyed the 15-20 minute walk into the historic district - safe and clean, plus a taste of the real city. It also allowed for us to enjoy some peace and quiet in the evenings. We already have plans to come back and really maximize the amenities. We missed out on the gorgeous underground spa and that seemed like a big miss!

This hotel never stopped surprising us. From outside it looks like a little nice hotel, but once you enter, the thing is big, every room is separate from each other, it has 2 pools (one outside and one in the spa), 2 Jacuzzis, Spa, even its own cinema-like room, where you can go and put netflix or blu-rays, etc. The people there are very nice and have great service and the room has absolutely everything you need to have a comfy stay. Loved it.

Second time at Villa Maria Cristina and the experience was as outstanding as the first. The hotel is a beautiful property with exceptional attention to detail and luxurious rooms. The restaurant is in a tranquil and wonderfully romantic setting for dinner and breakfast. The hostel is located away from the bustle of town but an easy 30 minutes on foot. Overall an outstanding experience.

Excess to both pools without anyone bothering you and how clean it was. Beautiful sight around the pool. Very relaxing. What I did not like was that the jacuzzi was not working properly.

Very nice hotel, comfortable, quiet, and clean. Restaurant quite good. Someone takes a lot of trouble with the food. Only drawback were the 62 steps we had to climb to get to our room. No elevator option.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic service. No detail was left undone. The room was spacious with comfortable beds. The bathroom had a deep, spa tub. The soaps and toiletries were all Loccental. Just delightful! We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and again it was a five star experience. We would love to come back and bring our whole family next time. What a gem!

We chose this hotel because it was one of the only hotels in Guanajuato that had a gym. Although check in time was at 3pm, we arrived early thinking they could store our luggage while we went out exploring. We were surprised to find out that they had upgraded our room because our original room was not ready. The room was of high end quality furniture and the hot tub was very relaxing! The hotel only has 13 rooms which makes it very quiet. The pool and gym were open 24hrs a day which made it very convenient for us. The pool is made out of small tiles which gives it a Romanesque look. The gym had a few cardio machines but also had pilates mats available. The restaurant had a large selection of foods and wines available. It was completely empty the entire time which made it seem like the staff were personally serving us. We truly felt like we were spoiled the entire time! The hotel towels were soft, had a nice smell to them (compared to normal hotel towels), and were available in the gym and pool. Complementary water bottles were also made available in the rooms, pool, and gym. Umbrellas are also made available throughout the hotel in case an occasional rain shower slips in. The wireless internet was complimentary and fast!This was what I consider luxury for a great rate. We found all the other reviews helpful but fortunately, did not experience any of the negatives. We are recommending this hotel to all our friends and we hope to return in the near future!

A beautiful layout, once you are inside you are immersed in the place. Would recommend it strongly. You will feel like a king or queen.

For a 5 star hotel I expect higher English level from the staff. I ordered room service for breakfast but once they didnt show up. Told the hotel about it and didnt say anything. When I checked out I found a lot of items are not consumed by me. Then the hotel explained that those costs belong to another room and they were already paid. When I added the rest together the price he showed me was still 3000 pesos more expensive than what I should pay. The most scandalous thing is that the waiter for room service added tips by himself on my bill. Ive never seen this level of cheating and it damaged completely my view about this hotel and Ill definitely tell everyone I know never to come to this hotel.

LAs habitaciones amplias y muy agradables, la cama cómoda, los baños muy agradables. Excelentes amenidades. El GYM en perfecto estado, Buen mantenimiento a las piscinas. El Servicio en el restaurante se me hizo extremadamente lento para el desayuno. Tardamos mas de hora y media en el desayuno, tuve que hacer uso de toda mi paciencia. En general un muy buen hotel en Guanajuato

Todo estuvo perfecto, la estancia fue deliciosa y relajante, muy buena ubicación y todos los servicios excelentes. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

This hotel is one of our favorites. We had the great joy to discover it 2 years ago but sadly now the service particularly in the restaurant is lacking. Of course it is understandable that the hotel has grown but the quality has to stay the same.We do really like the services provided by the welcoming staff.Everybody is welcoming but the cleaning has to be done properly for such a high standards hotel...particularly in the small indoors swimming pool where some leftovers of the previous night were on the tables at 8:20 am and no towel to dry yourself and a dirty swimming pool.The special requirement that I asked were done but a bit slow but it is fine.The reception was helping very quickly for any needs.The breakfast is ok and the bread is good.The room was very comfortable and the outside swimming pool was clean with a good temperature.The great shower products proposed in the room and the space are a big plus but the walls are thin so do not get a baby next to you if you are in the part of the hotel.We will come back to give it another shot and we hope to see what we have seen 2 years ago.Best regards,

I’ve been to a dozen places around Mexico, and with the exception of the Palmilla in Cabo, this was the best hotel I have visited. I cannot imagine there is a nicer or more charming hotel in the entire state of Guanajuato.
