We love Sunny Guesthouse! The staff was friendly & helpful, the breakfast was great, especially for the value. We appreciate the kitchen being open late - one evening we picked up a dinner at Namdeamun market and were able to eat at table with dishes and silverware. Everything was clean,cheerful, and bright. Thank you - we hope to return to Seoul and would stay here again!

First, DO NOT stay here if you have ANY problem with stairs. There is no lift and the property is spread over 5 floors. Having said that, the hotel is in an excellent location. It is less than 100m from exit 1 of Euljiro 3 (opp side from Travelodge). Many of the main sights of Seoul are nearby and there is a direct line to Hongdae. The room was compact but pleasant and the bed was large and comfortable. You cook your own breakfast which gives the place a more homely feel and you get to meet the other guests as you are cooking your eggs.The place has a nice laid back feel, more of an up market hostel.The owners, Daniel and Sunny are really nice and will do as much as they can to make your stay more pleasant. Just ask and they will do their best to help. A nice touch was the loan of an umbrella when it was raining outside.

The hotel is clean, the room is big enough to fit it 4 people on two twin beds. It is very close to the train station. They serve breakfast. But, the hotel doesnt have elevator, and the bathroom is very tiny, no separation between the toilet and the shower. Overall, it is ok, especially if you are mostly outside during the day, and would just need something to sleep on for the night.

The staff was amazing! Amiable and attentive. I was greeted very nicely and sometimes they would even greet me by my name and ask how was my day. The room has a nice cozy size. The place is very well located; there are several things to do walking distance and there is a subway station less than a minute away.

The room itself was small but reasonable. The shower wasnt the best setup but it is acceptable. The entire building comprised of 6 floors (no elevators!) and had rather narrow steps especially up to the 6th floor. Whats not quite acceptable is the fact that you have to wash your own dishes after breakfast. I dont mind doing the washing, but I saw a fellow guest doing a poor job and that unclean mug/dish is meant for the next guest. Questionable hygiene... argh.

Cheerful quaint place. Everything provided for, just help yourself. Excellent central location close to metro station. Room needs more facilities such as hooks, shelves etc. Friendly staff.

The location is great and the staff are nice and helpful. However, I found lots of small insects inside the room including two flying, a few climbing on the walls of the room and the toilet, and quite a number on the bed sheets... I asked them to change the bed sheets but the same problem remain unsolved after changing as there are a number of them inside the room... I am quite sensitive to insects and I basically cant sleep for that few days.For breakfast, I am not sure as I cant even reach to the kitchen, its on the rooftop but on the way there are some larger insects...

I stayed in a basic room. The room is comfortable and clean. There a few English TV channels and English signs for how to use the AC and TV remotes. The breakfast was basic but plenty, included eggs and sausage that you can make for yourself, toast, muffins, juice and coffee. The staff were very pleasant and they will offer to carry your bags up and down the stairs since there is no lift. The location is great. I found the place with no problem, following the procedures the hotel gives for taking the airport shuttle. The metro is right around the corner (so is a convenience store) and I walked from the Insadong area in about 20 minutes. I would go back. The room is a good size for one person, maybe a bit small for 2.

Overall I had a fantastic experience at this guesthouse. The facilities looked brand new, and the rooms were not only very comfortable but also clean (I have had mixed experiences with room cleanliness in other countries guesthouses which is why I emphasize this point). Staff members were extremely nice and helpful, always smiling and attempting to help guests as much as possible. The guesthouse itself is in a privileged location, literally within walking distance to most major tourist destinations in Seoul. Breakfast was always quite good; all around thumbs up for K-Guesthouse Seoul City!

First time to stay in a guest house in Seoul and quite enjoyed the experience. Seoul continues to push the boundaries in rebranding its image and helping to make all travelers, whether first timers or veterans, feel it was worthwhile coming. Visited at a time of big demonstrations for and against the President but never felt the slightest danger or hostility the entire time. Kudos to the Korean people for their collective wisdom and may their youthful democracy prosper.

Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to Myeongdong is around 5-10minutes. It would be a little bit far in the cold weather and the lots of shopping you are carrying. =P

Very good location for exploring city. Breakfast could be improved, but it is included in price (self-service). Bathroom is very tiny. Friendly and helpful staff!

Hotel in a street with many trade supply stores. Quiet at night. Very close to subway. Clean room, compact bathroom . Very friendly and helpful staff. Have common kitchen area for breakfast (included) . Fair bit of stairs if you are in upper floors.

Staff very friendly, hotel very clean, good location just 2 minutes to nearest MRT. Free WI-Fi is working fast. Free breakfast is an added point. I will definitely come back again.

Daniel was wonderful He gave us suggestions and was very friendly..Great small clean hotel off the beaten path yet close enough to the center..do not book if you cannot walk up steps.
