Great Location, for a great price. 15 minute walk from great beaches, bars, good restaurants.

Muy acogedor, es un hotel antiguo y se nota. Pero vale la pena, super bien ubicado y tranquilo. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Muy buen servicio.

Excellent option for staying in Cancun at a fraction of the price of beach front hotels. Calm and quiet, ideal for families. Breakfast and lunch are of very good quality and pricing.

I was very satisfied with how nice and comfortable this hotel was. The pool and grounds are very well kept. The restaurant has decent food and drinks in the morning at reasonable prices to get your day off to a good start. I think I got lucky and was able to use wifi from my room.

Wonderful stay at Grand Royal Lagoon. Hotel is close to Centre of hotel zone, about 15 minutes walk or 2 minute bus ride (120pesos $1cd). Most times you have the pool to yourself or one other couple. Property is a little older but well maintenned. Nice pizza place around corner and convenience store minutes away. Hey for $75cd cant go wrong! Most of the super clubs near by start at $150-$250usd per person per day. If thats what you want dont come here but for a simple clean and affordable get away Grand Royal Lagoon is your place! Its small nice hotel with good price.. good location..good service & not so far to the beach...

The online pictures doesnt show everything. There is only standup shower in the room. Window curtain is light, doesnt block sun lights. You can hear all the noise from inside the room. The room i was given, room deadbolt didnt work. The shower door didnt have a lock. While showering, the door opens 1/4th automatically.

Front desk person not very happy. same thing next morning. Smiles are cheap! room no bottled water available anywhere. glad we had brought our own. nasty hard bed and pillows. This place was cheap, but could be so much better even at that price. Location on lagoon has potential. outdoor bar was nice although closed at 7 pm

When I arrived they pretended they didn’t have my reservation. The woman shuffled papers for five minutes saying my name over and over. When I showed her my reservation on the Expedia app, she suddenly found it on top of the computer keyboard. She then put us in the highest room (3rd floor, no elevator, my mom’s 86) that had no blankets and was not very clean. The breakfast staff were pleasant.

It was very quiet and very personal, the management was very accommodating in upgrading my room again. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and will stay here again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this quiet, quaint hotel. The staff was very helpful and caring, the rooms and pool were clean, and we felt at home here. The wicker funiture was a little old, but the location is great (one block from the bus stop and about 1 km. from Playa Langosta, and next door to the golf course). It is also within walking distance of a small shopping mall and many restaurants.If you are looking for a change from all the bustle and chaos of the larger resorts and are looking to take in Cancun on a budget, this might be the place for you! We absolutely loved the family feel it had. There are no bells and whistles here- just peace and quiet on the lagoon with a small, well-maintained swimming pool! We cant wait to go back, and wouldnt dream of going back to Cancun and not staying here. FYI, the Mexican breakfast they serve is simple but delicious!

The hotel is very good. Close to hotel zone n beaches within 15-20 min walking distance.. There is nearby chedurai superstore where you can find everything water, any food, chips, alcohol beer every thing ...Do not take breakfast option for additional $4/day with the hotel price... in breakfast they serve very thin slices of any two fruits, a glass of orange juice, 2 toasted breads, Jam and coffee.. All of that you can buy from Chedurai superstore in USD $5 which is sufficent for a week...things I purchased from superstore -> water 15 pesos for 5 lt, mangoes... banana for 16 Passos per kg,... A pack of toasted bread 15 pasos which contain 20 breads, large veggie pizza USD 6... Also DO NOT do currency exchange at the airport either request your bank atleast 3-4 business days in advance or carry dollars to Cancun in every store they accept USD with the exchange rate of 17 pasos or higher ... At airport I got exchange rate of 14..next to grand royal lagoon there is Subway and a store 3 min walking distance opens 24hrs..if you you buy something from there you can give them USD and whatever change left they will give you pasos @17..Public transportation bus is very cheap pasos 12/person. From one end to another end. U make sure to give pasos to the bus driver if you give them 1 USD they will not give you any change back. U can bargain on price every where including the packages for XELHA, XCARET, TULUM, or any other package. e.g. USD100 for package u can get in 60 after bargaining

Sorry. But supplies and condition of the property is mediocre. Perfect location, but they need to upgrade this property.

This is hidden jewel in the heart of Cancun. No worries with the hustle of big hotels, busy streets. Nicely tucked away!

Its location was within walking distance to the Cancun night scene. The lagoon in the morning during breakfast was a great view.

I have stayed here 5 times. Hotel is small with no elevator. Rooms have refrigerators and are clean - bathrooms are clean too. Some have stoves.Pool is tiny but refreshing and clean. View of lagoon is pretty. You cant swim in lagoon. Made to order included breakfast is normally 2 choices - an egg choice and pancakes and is great!Walk across the street to the Presidente for a wonderful beach.Location is on a pretty side street full of nice homes and wealthy people - just look at the cars and yachts on lagoon! You are a 4 minutes walk to best beach in Cancu and about a 10 minute walk to party central.When my husband and I travel weekends to Cancun we always stay here -f or less than $50 per nite you cannot beat it! When we travel with the kids we stay at the big AI resorts but I really prefer this place. We go back every year - at least 3-3 times. It isnt grand or royal but is cute and clean and a nice base for vacationing!

Ein durchschnittliches Hotel für einen kurz Aufenthalt. Der Zimmer sind recht sauber und auch der Pool wurde sehr sauber gehalten. Es sind ca. 20 Minuten zu laufen zu einem Traumstrand!! Also die Lage ist für den Preis super! Das Frühstück hätte man auch weglassen können. Gleich nebenan gibt es einen Tankstellenshop der gute Sachen verkauft. Die Zimmer sind eher klein aber es reicht für ein zwei Tage. Insgesamt waren wir Zufrieden.

The location of the hotel was good, not too far of a walk from the restaurants and bars. When we checked in around 8pm, we asked the person at the desk to arrange a taxi for us in the morning because we would be flying out the next day. We then put everything in the room and left the room for about 2hrs to have dinner. When we got back to the room, we noticed that one of our bags looked different. We then found that we had a large amount of money stolen from the bag. The person didnt take all of the money, probably hoping that we wouldnt notice until after we left the next day. We then noticed that the room no longer locked properly. We DO NOT recommend this hotel. And if you still decide to stay here, do not stay on the ground floor room 318, and make sure that your room properly locks even after you jiggle the handle. There are much better hotels for the same price in the downtown area if you are just coming through for a night.
